Week 10: Baltimore Ravens 27, Minnesota Vikings 19

Jackson’s Milestone Start Powers Ravens to Road Win
The Baltimore Ravens traveled north to U.S. Bank Stadium and left with a 27–19 win over the Minnesota Vikings, marking a significant milestone: Lamar Jackson’s 100th regular-season start. He managed the game efficiently, made key plays, and sealed a hard-fought victory for Baltimore.
Jackson finished with 176 passing yards and a touchdown, distributing the ball effectively and avoiding costly mistakes. While he didn’t put up gaudy numbers, his leadership and decision-making were critical down the stretch.
The Ravens relied heavily on their ground game, too. Derrick Henry carried the load, grinding out tough yards and helping maintain sustained drives. When Jackson needed to step in, he did so with calmness and precision — including on the game-sealing drive late in the fourth quarter.
Baltimore’s defense delivered when it mattered. They pressured Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy consistently, disrupted passing lanes, and forced field-goal attempts instead of touchdowns multiple times. Their ability to bend but not break in the red zone was essential to preserving the lead.
On offense, the Vikings showed flashes of explosion — but consistency was lacking. McCarthy made some big throws, but several drives stalled due to miscommunication and dropped passes. The Vikings’ drive in the fourth quarter ended with a short touchdown, but their two-point attempt failed, leaving them just short of a comeback.
Minnesota’s defense had moments of strength, particularly in third-down situations, but it couldn’t hold up when Baltimore picked up steam. The Ravens converted in critical moments, especially late, and that proved decisive.
This win gives Baltimore momentum heading into the second half of the season. Jackson’s milestone is a symbolic boost, and the team’s balance — between efficient passing, a committed ground game, and a resilient defense — gives them a strong foundation for the playoff push.
For the Vikings, the loss is disappointing but not devastating. Their young quarterback is still gaining experience, and their offense shows potential. However, they must find more consistency in high-leverage situations if they want to make noise in the NFC.
